Build and Onboard Users in One Click to Games on XRP Ledger & EVM Chain

Sameera Nilupul Wijayarathna, Kaiju Labs

Web3 games require users to connect a wallet to sign-in. For example on XRP Ledger a user has to sign in with a wallet like Xaman wallet. When onboarding a new user who's not crypto native, the user must first configure a wallet, save seed phrase etc.. which takes at least 15 mts for a new user. To solve this we've come up with a unique Wallet as a Service solution for game developers to onboard new users in one click using social logins such as Google, Discord, X, etc. creating a native wallet for the user instantly in the game. Currently our solution is being integrated to Zerpmon and XRP Cafe to create a seamless experience. We'd like to do an interactive tech workshop on how to build and launch a game on XRP Ledger while onboarding users seamlessly. This workshop will be a tech workshop and we'll release sample codes for public to reuse and build new games on XRP Ledger.

The Best Incentive is No Incentive

Hussein Zangana, xrp.cafe

The Best Incentive is No Incentive" for the XRP Ledger (XRPL) encapsulates a philosophy that diverges from the conventional blockchain incentive models, such as mining rewards or staking incentives, found in many other blockchain ecosystems. This approach is deeply rooted in the fundamental design and operational principles of the XRPL. Unlike blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum, which use mining (proof-of-work) or staking (proof-of-stake) to secure the network and process transactions, the XRPL employs a consensus protocol that does not reward participants with new tokens for validating transactions.

Building XRPL Community with an Open-Source Mentality

Peter Giese, Nice Touch Corporation

This talk explores how the XRPL can attract developers and innovators to continue to grow and how members of the XRPL community can position themselves when sharing with the public. As an engineer and founder of a web agency, I’m fascinated with the idea of how open source communities explore the boundaries of brand strategy and communication to build their audiences. How do we talk about web3 to the public, and how do we stimulate adoption and innovation and how do we maintain sustainable growth on a web3 platform/blockchain? Developers are the bedrock of the ledger. If developers are motivated to create, use, & innovate on our blockchain, it will become more adopted in the general public. -Elevate individual voices -Build & share practical tools. -Empower devs to help others. *projects* - XRPL learning portal, -React.js XRPL library, -React+XRPL 3D web game.

How to Attract Developers

Dom Kwok, EasyA; Phil Kwok, EasyA

Developers are the lifeblood of every blockchain. But whilst we know exactly what drives the blockchains themselves, all the way down to precise metrics like TPS and TTF, few people have undertaken a rigorous analysis of what drives developers. This talk will approach this question like David Attenborough approaches the natural world. We’ll uncover the habitats where developers live, how to create the perfect ecosystem for them to thrive, and how any developer can build the next unicorn. This promises to be an insightful talk that is as inspirational as it is fun. By the end, you’ll know exactly what drives developers, and how we can attract a new wave of builders to the XRP Ledger.

Optimizing XRPL Performance with Ed25519 Batch Verification

Murat Cenk, Ripple

Digital signatures are crucial for authentication and security in XRPL. However, signature verification can be computationally expensive, impacting system throughput. This study investigates the use of batch verification for Ed25519 signatures to enhance XRPL performance. We explore its effectiveness in both multi-signature and regular transactions, achieving a significant performance improvement (50% reduction in verification time). Additionally, we address potential consistency issues arising from the Ed25519-donna library by implementing cofactored verification. This ensures consistency between single and batch verification, mitigates interoperability concerns, and introduces minimal performance overhead. Results demonstrate that batch verification with cofactored verification can significantly improve XRPL application performance while maintaining consistency and interoperability.

XRPL Features for CBDC Interoperability

Carlos Alberto Durigan Junior, University of Zurich

Ripple and XRPL have features that are desirable to promote CBDC interoperability. In this presentation, we expect to explore some points the XRPL to be used as hub of interoperability for CBDCs. Results will be based on a case study for XRPL, exploring the protocol and design. This is based on a XRP ambassador program project done in 2023.- Context: Considering that there are many Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and each one has its own DLT architecture and protocol, they may have to transact among themselves and thus interconnect protocols. In this context XRPL protocol can be applied to serve as a hub to promote interoperability among these different protocols.- Main Objective: Explore, understand and detail XRPL architecture and protocol to use it as a hub of CBDCs interoperability.

Tokenization as a Solution for Financial Market Infrastructure

Marius Jurgilas, Axiology

Axiology is developing regulated financial market infrastructure on XRPL. We would like to expose how crypto market developments can be transposed into highly regulated financial market infrastructure. The first use case that we are enabling - making the safest financial instrument, government bonds, accessible to all. Our ultimate objective is to utilize XRPL AMM functionality and build fully integrated capital market infrastructure with settlement, custody, exchange and brokerage as one regulated financial infrastructure. Several countries are experimenting with innovative legal regimes that enable such mode of operation. For example EU DLT Pilot Regime Regulation and UK Digital Securities Sandbox. Participants of the talk will learn about the pros and cons of such legal regimes and how XRPL community could take part.

From Ideation to Profit: Maximizing Your MVP

Mark Sean, Contraband Interactive

During this talk, I'd like to share my experience entering and winning hackathons, as well as taking some of the apps that I've developed during these contests and turning them into startup companies and funded projects. I will highlight some of the projects that I've built on the XRP Ledger, discussing the ideation phase all the way to developing the MVP (within just a few minutes). I'd like to share some of the pathways that I've discovered to help get projects funded. I've been involved with two different teams who have received XRPL Grants Foundation assistance. I'm also currently leading development for a tokenized private equity fund built exclusively on the XRPL. I would like to take questions from participants as well, and provide guidance to those who may be struggling at different stages with their projects and/or ideas.

Low-Latency Applications of Multi-Party Computation: Primitives for Online dig.signatures

Tamas Visegrady, Ripple; Oleg Burundukov, Ripple

Multi-party computation (MPC) protocols are used to jointly construct digital signatures on behalf of private keys which are never reassembled by any single participant. Unlike non-MPC multi-signature schemes, the security of these signatures does not depend on policies or other context during verification: existence of the signature is itself proof of a successful preceding MPC protocol execution. While their elevated security justifies their use, practical MPC protocols' execution is based on essentially distributed systems, beneath a signature API which emulates centralized signing services. Even with such abstraction, MPC-based signing in those "distributed" systems advances through a protocol-specific number of rounds, and involves node-to-node communication sequences. While data at rest scenarios with infrequent signing---typical for custody of digital assets---may tolerate the inherent high latencies, transaction-oriented use of many MPC schemes may be impractical for low-latency applications. We describe a subset of practical MPC protocols which may be used in latency-critical applications. We describe how implementations may be specialized for low per-signature latencies, possibly at the cost of more significant offline preparation. We show which security properties are relaxed, compared to the selected MPC schemes' latency-insensitive full implementations. We show why the security procedures of transaction processing may already compensate for the relative differences between original protocols and their latency-specialized variants.

Moai Finance: A Unified Liquidity Layer to Empower XRP Ecosystem

Jeff Kwon, Moai Finance

Moai Finance is at the forefront, developing an aggregator layer that interconnects various chains and protocols leveraging XRP as their asset of choice. With significant updates underway within the XRP Ledger, such as the integration of NFT standards, AMM DEX, and the XChain Bridge, the ecosystem is witnessing the emergence of diverse projects and sidechains like Futureverse and XRP Ledger EVM, alongside innovative DeFis like Dexter, Orchestra Finance, Anodos, and more. However, as the ecosystem diversifies, the liquidity of XRP faces fragmentation. A unified liquidity layer is crucial to efficiently distribute liquidity across the ecosystem. Join us as we explore how Moai Finance addresses this challenge and discusses our approach to aggregating liquidity for optimal scalability and distribution.

Create Real World Impact by staking stablecoins against Agro Commodities as Real World Assets

Satheesh Kumar PADDOLKER, Kratos Innovation Labs

Crypto meets Agriculture: Staking for Impact Imagine using stablecoins, cryptocurrencies pegged to real-world assets, to fund agricultural projects. Investors stake their coins, essentially lending them, to finance farmers for equipment, seeds, or sustainable practices. Crops or livestock act as collateral, while investors potentially earn interest. This fosters financial inclusion for farmers and boosts stablecoin adoption. Blockchain ensures secure transactions and tracks the impact of invested funds. Challenges include market fluctuations and evolving regulations. Staking stablecoins against agricultural commodities offers a unique way to bridge the gap between crypto and the real world, potentially benefitting both investors and agricultural development.
